This will close the gap for teacher training requirement for all lecturers in tertiary institutions.

The two possible categories of students for regularization of course forms are designated with "A" and " B" below. Kindly follow the instructions where applicable.

A.   The instruction below is applicable to students who have existing course forms on KOFA
      (2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2017/2018).

  • Go to https://aaue.waeup.org, click login, enter username and password e.g
    username = E2015171, password = 234052
  • Click "My Data" tab at the top of the page, select "study course", Click on any level of your choice e.g 100.
  • Click "Repair course list": this will enable you add or remove courses from your course form (“Add course ticket” or “Remove selected tickets” buttons).
  •  To print or download a pdf copy, Click "My Data" tab at the top of the page, select "study course", Click on the level of your choice e.g100., Click on "Download course registration slip"

B.   The instruction below is applicable to students who have one or more lower level course
       forms which are not available on KOFA. Eg, course forms starts from 300level.

Case scenario:
Assume a student with matric number: FNS/BCH/12/12334, AND KOFA ID:E1050081

  1. has no 100 and 200 level course form on KOFA account but has 300l and above
  2. assume the list of courses for the 100 level are ABC 101, ABC 102, ABC 103, ABC 104, ABC 105, FOR 2013/2014 (OR ANY LOWER SESSION)
  3. Assume the list of courses for 200level are ABC 201, ABC202, ABC 203, ABC204 for 2014/2015 session

The student is to create a table as shown below:

This is to inform all Heads of Department that preparation for the NYSC 2019 Batch ‘A’ mobilization exercise has commenced.

Consequently, Heads of Department who have not obtained their user name and password are please requested to come to the Students’ Affairs Division with their Laptop and Modem to enable us create User name and Password for them and also those that already obtained their user name and password are to forward their soft and hard copies of Bio-Data of all their students whose final degree examination results had been approved by Senate but were not previously mobilized for service to the Students’ Affairs Division.  Detailed guidelines are as follows

  • That each Head of Department should forward the Bio-data of their students whose final Degree results had been approved by Senate to the Dean of Students. Such Bio-data must be in accordance with each Batch of result in a given Academic Session.
  • That the Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences and Head, Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, should please, forward only the Bio-data of their students who will be completing their housemanship/internship by the 1st week of March, 2019 or those with evidence of completing theirs.
  • That the Bio-data of each student should be obtained from the Student’s personal file as submitted on admission to the Department.
  • That the Head of Department should not accept or forward the name of any student found to have mutilated his/her date of birth in the eligibility form in the personal file. Such students’ should be referred to the Student Affairs Officer.
  • That the Head of Department should personally sign each page of the Bio-data list before submission.
  • That each Batch of Senate Approved Results for any particular Academic Session should be attached to each of the Bio-data list (for guidance only).
  • That no account should a student whose bio-data was earlier submitted to the Students’ Affairs Division by the Department or who was previously mobilized by NYSC or exempted for any reason, be included on the required list . Such students should be referred to the Students’ Affairs Officer for revalidation or counseling.
  • That on no account should a student who had been expelled, suspended, rusticated, withdrawn or facing any disciplinary action, be included on the list by the Head of Department.
  • That the Bio-data list and the Senate approved results of Part-Time or Sandwich Students be collated separately Batch by Batch, in accordance with each Academic Session and forward same to the Dean of Students to enable the NYSC process their Exemption/Exclusion Certificates.
  • Jamb has introduced a new policy hence, all HODs should inform their Graduates to visit the Jamb website jamb.org.ng/efacility/checkmatriculationlist if their names are there to avoid their names falling into error upload.
  • That Part-Time/Sandwich Students do not need Jamb registration number for NYSC mobilization, only phone number is needed.
  • That any married woman desirous of concessional posting be requested to see the Students’ Affairs Officer with an Application, Marriage Certificate, Newspaper Publication of change of name and a letter from her husband’s employer.
  • That such married women whose husbands are self-employed are requested to obtain such letters from the Local Government Secretariat where their husbands reside.
  • That all Heads of Department are advised to personally handle the Bio-data list of their students, as any overage student mobilized for service would be traced to the Head of Department concerned.
  • That any Head of Department who is in doubt of any aspect of the above guidelines should see the Senior Assistant Registrar (Students) or Data Entry Officer for clarification.
  • That any submission not in conformity with the above guidelines will not be accepted by the Division.
  • That NYSC has designed a Platform for all Departments of all Corps Producing Institutions, hence all Heads of Department/or their representative should come to Students’ Affairs Division to obtain their User Account and password for data entry from 4th February to 7th of February, 2019. All such entries should reach the Dean of Students on or before Thursday, 24th February, 2019, without fail.

Note: Kindly expedite action to avoid not mobilizing your students, please.

The Directorate which is under the Vice-Chancellor's office was established to facilitate and entrench a vibrant research culture in the university, with its attendant goals of wealth creation and development.

Senate, at its emergency meeting held on Monday, 21st January, 2019, after due deliberations,  has directed as follows:

  1. That students should come into their halls of residence on Sunday, 27th January, 2019.
  2. That Academic activities should resume in the University on Monday, 28th January, 2019
  3. That Lecturers should immediately commence lectures.
  4. That Registration for courses, clearance of Fresh students, payment of school fees, etc should commence immediately and
  5. That Heads of Department are required to closely monitor compliance with the above directives.
