A new Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic has been appointed by the Management of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma with effect from Friday, 7th March, 2014. He is Professor Jacob Aleonote Aigbodioh, a Professor of Philosophy.

A substantive Vice-Chancellor has been appointed by the Governor of Edo State and Visitor of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole. She is Prof. (Mrs.) C.A. Agbebaku. Until her appointment, Prof. (Mrs.) C.A. Agbebaku was the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University from 2nd May 2011 until her appointment as Vice-Chancellor with effect from 18th February, 2014.

Despite observations made by watchers, and solutions proffered by experts, Africa has continued to face the challenges of governance, peace and security. Sequel to the foregoing, the Institute for Governance and Development as part of its broad mandate for articulating solutions to challenges of governance and socio-economic development is organizing a conference with the theme – Governance, Peace and Security in Africa. The conference promises to provide an intellectual platform to address the aforementioned challenges.
