Ambrose Alli University Alumni Receive 2019 President’s NYSC Honours Award

Two graduates of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma; Mr. Okoeguale George Ayemere with Call-up Number NUSC/AUE/2014/179402 Code Number: GM/14C/0397 and Miss Eghe-Nova Eseosa Cynthia with Call up No: NYSC/AUE/2016/022649 Code No: FCT/16A/2319 have received the Presidents NYSC Honours Award for their outstanding performances.

Okoeguale George Ayemere graduated from Ambrose Alli University with a Bachelor of Science (2’1 Honor) degree in Microbiology, while Eghe-Nova Eseosa Cynthia graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honour) Degree in Biochemistry.

Okoeguale was mobilized and deployed to Gombe state for NYSC where he participated actively in all camp activities and was outstanding in drills, physical trainings, lectures, skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurial Development (SAED), Man O-War and social activities.

He was posted to Government Science Secondary School, Kaltungo (GSSK) in Kaltungo LGA of Gombe State. He organized periodic career talks for students to guide them towards profitable career choice. He revived the Science Club in the school and successfully coordinated its activities there by boosting the interest and performance of students in science subjects and mathematics.

Mr. Okoeguale George Ayemere contributed to community Development through the following

  1. Provision of twenty five (25) dual desks to Umar Memorial Islamic Primary School, Kaltungo where pupils used to sit on bare floor.
  2. Mobilized resources to pay the school fees of 20 indigent pupils of Umar Islamic Primary School including the overall best student of Government Secondary School Kaltungo.
  3. Donated 150 treated mosquito nets to staff and boarding students of GSSSK, in Kaltungo
  4. Distributed Science Textbooks and writing materials to two hundred and forty (240) pupils of Umar Memorial Islamic School and Government Secondary School Kaltungo respectively.
  5. George trained eight (8) fellow Corps members in printing of Recharge GSM cards and related skills. He served as assistant coordinator of NYSC SERVICOM Community Development Service Group where alongside his colleagues he sensitized Ministries, Agencies on optimum service delivery to the public.

EGHE-NOVA Cynthia Eseosa was mobilized and deployed to Federal Capital Territory, Abuja for her NYSC. She was posted to Federal Capital Territory Administration Water Board, Usman010. Dam. She was the Vice President of Charity CDS group where she inspired members to carry out the following activities:

  1. Skill acquisition training for fifty (50) JSS students of Bwari Science Secondary School on Cake baking and Decoration.
  2. Donation of educational materials to two hundred and fifty (250) pupils of the Science Primary School Bwari.
  3. Donation of food items to children of the Bwari Rehabilitation Centre and Orphanage home.
  4. Donation of four-tier show glass to the management of Government Day Secondary School Bwari.

In addition, as her personal CDS project, she did the following outstanding work:

  1. Renovation of a block of four classrooms at the Local Education Authority Primary School, Gaba.
  2. Donation of 10 mattresses and drugs to IDP camp.
  3. Free medical checkup at the IDP camp.
  4. Taught Senior Secondary School Students of Government Day Secondary School Cake baking and Decoration.

They were decorated with the Life Sciences Outstanding Achievements Awards during the 2nd Distinguished Faculty Lecture on the 23rd July, 2019. We congratulate these outstanding graduates of Ambrose Alli University for these achievements.
