Dr. (Mrs) Jane Igie Aba (Nee Okunbor), until her appointment as the university librarian of Ambrose Alli University library, Ekpoma, Edo State; was a Deputy Librarian, University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State.

Dr.(Mrs) Jane I. Aba was born on the 6th July, 1962 in Benin City, Edo State. She attended Ansar-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Lagos State from 1976-1981. She proceeded to Project T.I.M.E. College of Education, Lagos State from 1984-1987 and bagged her N.C.E. in 1987. In a quest for more academic experience, she went to Bayero University, Kano from 1989 – 1996 where she had her Bachelor of Arts degree in Library Science (BA.LS) and Masters in Library Science (MLS) respectively. She further proceeded for another Master's programme in Business Administration (MBA) in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma from 2000-2002. With her dogged quest for greater academic experience in 2007, she went for her Doctor of Philosophy programme in Library and Information Science (Ph.D ) in University of Nigeria Nsukka and bagged her Ph.D. in 2013. 

She is member of Nigerian Library Association (NLA) & Certified Librarian by Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).

Dr. (Mrs.) Aba started her teaching/cognate experience as a Principal at Rakad International College, Hotoro, Kano State.

With her quest for greener pasture and avenue to explore her wealth of academic experience, she joined the services of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State as an Assistant Librarian. She rose through the ranks to the post of Deputy University Librarian before her appointment as the University Librarian, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

As an academic with high repute, proven in the Library and Information Science field, she has  co-authored many books and published articles in reputable National and International Journals. 

She has served in several Committees spanning through Library and Information Technology, Disciplinary; Veterinary Medicine, Forestry and Fishery; SIWES, Convocation and Post Graduate Oral Examination Board, among others.

She has a flare for reading, music and cooking.
