Appointment Of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma

The Authorities of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma has appointed a new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). He is Prof. Oziegbe Monday Aigbokhaevbolo, a Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences. The appointment which takes effect from Thursday, 26th May, 2016 is for a term of two (2) years.

Prof. Aigbokhaevbolo hails from Iruekpen in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo state. He was born on 28th November, 1963. He attended Annunciation Catholic College, Irrua from 1975 to 1980, and obtained the WASC in 1980. He gained admission into Bayero University, Kano, 1981 – 1985, NYSC, 1986; University of Nigeria, Nsukka, 1988-1990, University of Benin, Benin City, where he bagged his B.Sc. (Accounting)(1984), MBA (Accounting)(1990) and Ph.D. (Business Administration) (2004) respectively.

Prof. Aigbokhaevbolo started his working career in 1987 as Officer, Vanni International Security Systems Ltd, Lagos and Benin City. He thereafter moved to Icon Ltd., (Merchant Bankers) as Account Officer, Credit and Marketing Department, Icon Ltd., Lagos and Benin City in 1995.

Prof. Aigbokhaevbolo in search for a greener pasture, assumed duty in the then Edo State University as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Accounting in 1996, and rose through the ranks to the position of Professor of Accounting in 2011 in the Department of Accounting.

He served in several administrative capacities as Ag. Head of Department of Accounting, Coordinator, Master of Business Administration Programme (MBA), Ag. Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences of the University.

He is an External Examiner to the Department of Business Administration, Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, 2009 to date and Department of Accounting, Benson Idahosa University, Edo State, 2004 – 2006.

Prof. Aigbokhaevbolo also served as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Accounting; Delta State University, Abraka, 2010 – 2014. In 2012, the National Universities Commission (NUC) appointed him as an Ad-hoc Member of Accreditation Panel to Wesley University, Ondo State; St. Paul’s University Awka, Anambra State, as well as Ad-hoc Panel membership, National Universities Commission (NUC) for Postgraduate Programme.
Prof. Aigbokhaevbolo, a prolific writer and erudite scholar has authored eight (8) books and published 40 Articles in books and learned journals. He attended several Conferences and presented papers within and outside the country.

His hobbies are Reading, Writing and Golf Playing.

Prof. Oziegbe Monday Aigbokhaevbolo is happily married with children.
