I am directed to inform you that Senate, at its emergency meeting held on Wednesday, 27th December, 2006 deliberated exhaustively on the above subject matter.  Having considered the peculiarity of the problems associated with students clearance/verification of final years students between 2000/2001 to 2005/2006 sessions, Senate decided as follows:

1. That the verification of credentials of all outstanding final year students up to 2005/2006 session be done on-line.
2. That, the list of the affected final year students indicating their names; levels, and qualifications obtained on or before their admission into the University be collated in their respective Departments and forwarded to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and
3. That the deadline for this exercise is February 28th, 2007.

It is the directive of Senate, that this procedure be adhered to strictly in order to conclude the lingering problems of students verification once and for all.
