OBJECTIVES 

 

The Department of Business Administration, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma offers a degree in Business Administration. The programme is designed to promote:

a)  Managerial competence and administrative efficiency of higher cadre members of staff in both the public and private sectors of the economy

b)  To facilitate the education and training of managers at undergraduate, post-graduate and professional levels.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 

Direct Entry Requirements

a)  GCE “A” Level passes in accounting or Economics and at least one other subject. In addition, candidates are expected to possess five credit passes at SC/GCE or SSCE “O” Level of their equivalents in subjects which English Language, Mathematics and Economics. Results at “O” Level and “A” Level must be attained in not more than two sittings.

OR


b)  Foundation/Intermediate Examination passes of recognized professional Accountancy bodies such as ICAN, ICMA etc, pr ided the applicant has five credits passes at SC/GCE or SSCE “O” Level in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Accounting or Economics or Commerce.

OR


c)  National Diploma in approved Polytechnics or College of Technology with a grade not lower than merit. In addition, the applicant must possess five credit passes at SC/GCE or SSCE “O” Level in Subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Accounting or Economics or Commerce.

OR


d)  The Diploma Certificate with merit pass or its equivalent from recognized University or its equivalent.


Tertiary Institution: The course must be Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Banking and Finance

 

U.M.E. Entry Requirements

e)  Candidates for admission into the four-year degree programme in Business Administration should possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or G.C.E. with at least five credit passes which include English Language Mathematics, Economics or Commerce and any other two subjects (obtained at not more than two sittings).

 

In addition, candidates must have acceptable passes in the following U.M.E. Subjects; English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Accounting o Commerce and one other subject;
