At its 173rd regular meeting held on Thursday, 24th March 2011, the Governing Council of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, was briefed on the following issues:

1     The students’ demonstration of Wednesday, 16th and Thursday, 17th February 2011 culminating in the closure of the University, and the events thereafter.

2    The appearance of the Vice-Chancellor and the principal officers of the University at the plenary session of the Edo state House of Assembly on Monday, 7th March 2011 in response to the invitation of the House.

Council noted the briefing and considered it as very informative. Council also noted and approved the various actions taken by the Vice-Chancellor and his Management team.

Accordingly, Council passed a vote of confidence on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sam. O. Uniamikogbo, FNIM and his Management Team.
