Ambrose Alli University Gets a New Registrar PDF Print E-mail

A new Registrar has been appointed for Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. She is Mrs. Ofure Josephine Omole, the sixth substantive and first female Registrar of the University since its establishment in January 1981.



Mrs. Omole was born into the family of Mr. Dominic and Mrs. Elizabeth Edeko of Illeh-Ekpoma and Ehanlen-Ewu respectively. She had her primary School Education at the St. Williams Catholic Primary School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan and Ibadan City Council Practising School, Ibadan from 1962 to 1966 from where she proceeded to St. Teresa’s College, Ibadan for her Secondary Education from 1967 to 1971 and her advance level (A/L) programme in 1973.

She later proceeded to the University of Benin from where she obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Biochemistry (1978) and later went on her National Youth Service in Niger State from 1978 to 1979. After her service year, she went back to the University of Benin and Obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration in 1981. Mrs. Omole is an active member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (NIM) and the Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA).

She assumed duty in the service of the then Bendel State University, now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma on the 10th of November, 1982 as an Administrative Officer.

Mrs. Omole has worked in and headed various Units and Divisions of the Registry Department of this University. Until her new appointment, she was the Deputy Registrar in charge of Admissions and Verification Division of this University. She assumed the office of the Registrar on the 19th of August, 2010 after taking over from the immediate past Registrar of the University, Mr. L.I. Edokpayi, JP, KSM, MNIM.

Mrs. Omole is blessed with a happy family.
