Senate at its emergency meeting held on Monday, 19th October 2009 approved an adjustment to the 2008/2009 Academic Calendar for Diploma and Part-Time Degree Programmes as follows:
| Monday, 26th October, 2009 | First semester lectures and course registration resume | | Saturday, 7th November, 2009 | End of first semester lectures and course registration | | Friday, 13th November, 2009 | First semester examinations begin | | Saturday, 28th November, 2009 | End of first semester examinations | | Monday, 7th December, 2009 | Second semester lectures begin for both Diploma and Part-Time degree students | | Monday, 1st February, 2010 | Second semester examinations begin | | Saturday, 20th February, 2010 | End of second semester examinations | | Wednesday, 31st March 2010 | Senate meeting to consider results |
