The University community and the general public are hereby informed of the registration of Association of University Technologists of Nigeria (ASUTON) as an Academic Trade Union.

According to the release signed by both the Secretary and the Chairman of the Union, Messrs Patrick Idisi and Austin Aigbiremonlen respectively, the status of ASUTON has now changed from Association to Trade Union and it is now formally registered as National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) on the 14th of August, 2007 under the Trade Unions Act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.  Henceforth, ASUTON is now to be known as NAAT.

The new name, NAAT, should be noted, please.
