- the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council, Ambassador Abdul-Aziz Garuba.
2. Conferment of Honorary Degrees on two eminent Nigerians:
- His Excellency, Senator (Prof.) O.A. Osunbor, KSC, Executive Governor, Edo State.
- Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi, Group Executive Director, Exploration and Production, NNPC, Abuja.

4. Foundation Laying Stone of the Multi-Purpose Lecture Theatre Donated to AAU by Believers Love World (a.ka. Christ Embassy).
Graduands are to note that academic gowns, hoods and caps are available for hiring at the various Faculty Offices on the presentation of a bank draft for the payment of non-refundable fee of N2,000.00 (Two thousand Naira) which will be submitted to the Faculty Accountant. In addition they are to collect their scrolls and brochures from the Faculty Officers.
For Master’s and Ph.D. gowns, graduands are to report at the Office of the Deputy Registrar (School of Post Graduate Studies) with the receipt for a bank draft for the payment of a non-refundable hiring fee of the sum of Three thousand Naira (N3,000.00) from the Bursary Department. They are also to collect their brochures from the same office.
